The Animals of Adonna Khare

Every September since 2009, my home town of Grand Rapids, Michigan holds Art Prize, a wonderful event that consists of hundreds of works of art displayed throughout the city, some are interactive, such as the finalist “Lights in the Night“, and others become part of the city, such as another finalist “stick-to-it-ive-ness: Unwavering pertinacity; perseverance“. Unfortunately, I am not visiting my family at the moment and have never been to Art Prize (I always schedule my  MI visit earlier in the summer- but next year I’m aiming for September!). Luckily, however, I have great parents and aunts that keep me in the loop about the best of the art. There indeed is an art ‘prize’ associated with the event and there are now 10 finalists in the running. The artworks mentioned above are two of my favorites, but the one that struck me as down right amazing and gorgeous (and blog-share-worthy) was “Elephants” by Adonna Khare. Check out her entry as well as a breathtaking video of her other works.
